All eyes on Paris

01 February 2024

After more than three years at the helm of the Queensland Academy of Sport, Chelsea Warr has moved on to pursue other opportunities.

As the Academy’s Chief Executive, Chelsea built significant momentum to help QAS chart a path on the green and gold runway to Brisbane 2032.

The experience and expertise she brought to the QAS shaped the 2032 High Performance Strategy, and the team will continue to drive the QAS to achieve the 2032 Vision of Inspiring Extraordinary Sporting Success.

Highly respected elite performance leader Troy Ayres, the Academy’s former Executive Director of Talent and Coaching and manager of the groundbreaking Youfor2032 program, will lead QAS in the interim.

Preparations for Paris are firmly in place, with a committed team supporting our Olympic and Paralympic athletes in their quest for gold.

The QAS remains firmly focused on continuing to work in partnership with sports to be best prepared for the Paris campaign and beyond, and will ensure there is no disruption to support for sports or athletes.
